How can we create a sustainable society that can combine the prosperity of all with planetary constraints?

Through the analysis of the effects of social and environmental policies, the Ecoesione project has proposed a systemic vision that, starting from territorial case studies, proposes measures capable of overcoming social barriers to the transition. We know that the social partners, businesses, the third sector, local and national authorities, environmental associations and associations for social promotion are fundamental actors in this process. But they are bearers of different interests, often conflicting with each other, which make it difficult to overcome the status quo. Research can help create a sustainable society both on a scientific and cultural level, but to do so it must be based on dialogue, collaboration and inclusion of the different actors involved in and by research, to increase creativity and share responsibility for the process. We thought that an important contribution could also come from the involvement of girls and boys. For this reason we have transformed our research into a card game to be introduced in schools with inclusive and open educational paths. The day will present the results obtained so far from the analysis of local contexts to socio-economic models with the aim of opening new transition paths.
